Mission

The mission of Professional Development for Pueblo School District 70 is to enhance the knowledge, skills and performance of all employees to advance student learning. Professional Development of all school staff members is essential to improving the learning of all children. Effective staff development focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of teachers, administrators, and other school employees so that all students can learn and perform at their highest level. Our goal is to provide professional development which will ensure:

  • Highly Qualified personnel in every classroom or service
  • Effective leadership for every school
  • High levels of continuous learning for all
  • Application of learning to benefit students

Overview of Courses

The courses provided offer alternative designs for employee learning that engage people in collaborative groups and as individuals in continuous learning opportunities. The classes are focused on the needs of schools and departments and are responsive to the learning needs of all employees, school improvement plans, and individual professional growth plans.

Eligibility 

While registrations are processed on a "first-come, first-served" basis, placement in classes is prioritized. Contract teachers and district employees are given first consideration for class spaces available. Reserve teachers and out-of-district visitors are accepted on a space available basis. 

Participation 

You will learn skills to assist your students in becoming more effective and making your job more satisfying. It will be an advantage when applying for a position in which these skills are necessary.

Registration 

The courses are being offered to all district employees. Please give your class registration serious consideration. Your payment of registration and materials fees is viewed as a commitment to attend and will be counted toward the minimum number of participants needed to run the class. If an emergency prevents you from attending a course, please notify Rosi Deltonto as soon as possible to allow another participant to be scheduled.

fees 

All materials and instruction fees must accompany the registration. There will be a $20.00 cancellation fee for all personnel once registration has closed.

Please make a copy of the dates and times of your classes. No notifications will be sent to you unless there are cancellations or changes. ?No Shows? are automatically dropped unless they have made prior arrangements.
